Ah Paris. Your IG stories were 👌🏻. I finally got there in March. My daughters took me there for my 60th bday. I couldn’t keep up with the architecture. I cried when I saw the Eiffel Tower. It’s spectacular. I did my best with the language. Please and thank yous galore. I studied YouTube videos on what to wear so I’d “blend” in. No athleisure lol. Your outfits were spot on. Even your El Legionnaire. I’m now working on my Tokyo marathon trip in March. Any suggestions are appreciated.

The Eiffel Tower truly is spectacular, I was somewhat blown away by its real-life stature. As far as Tokyo, I think it's really mind-bending and takes some time to get used to. The cultural rules are just different, but the people are incredible. Whether that's a perceived niceness or real, hard to say. If you learn the basics of please, sorry, thank you, I think that goes a long way, as you mentioned. The food is incredible and cheap, so just go wild on that. It's a bit overwhelming because you could spend 10 lifetimes there and not scratch the surface, so you just gotta buckle up and take in all you can while you can.

I lived vicariously through all of you this past week! What a lovely recap of your travel! Side note: I’ve never smoked in my life, but also felt the strong temptation to light up when I visited Paris on my honeymoon in 2019!
