Your case for traveling with kids is both practical and poetic. You capture that perfect tension between the chaos of logistics and the magic of seeing the world through young eyes—reminding us that the mess is part of the education. This isn’t just travel advice; it’s a manifesto for family wonder.

Another relatable read. Sometimes having kids feels like giving up all the fun things you could have done on a trip but the restrictions they place on you open you up to new opportunities you wouldn't have taken otherwise. Thanks for the reminder to try to enjoy the uniqueness of being a parent of small kids while they're small.

Congrats on the great family trip. We just got back from a week in Bologna (1 husband, 2 boys ages 12 and 14) and we are all better for it. Cheers!

Great takes as always! So glad you're seeing how your kids show you areas of yourself that still need work and having the balls to write about it. Even without kids I realize how incredible and inspiring this is in a world that turns away from honest reflection at each opportunity.
